Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted by your dedicated Bale Mountains trekking guide and transferred by 4x4 vehicle to the Bale Mountains National Park Headquarters in Dinsho.
Afternoon: After settling into your campsite, enjoy a leisurely afternoon introductory hike around the Dinsho Headquarters. This area is a prime location for immediate wildlife sightings. This endangered canid often hunts in these high-altitude grasslands. Along the way, you'll stop for a refreshing break at the beautiful Habera Waterfall, a perfect spot for photography and to enjoy the serene natural surroundings.

Enjoy a shorter, approximately 2-3 hour hike this morning as you trek from Adelye Woodland back to Dinsho Headquarters. This leisurely walk allows for more time to soak in the beauty of the vast grassy grasslands and spot any wildlife you might have missed. Upon arrival back at Dinsho, you'll have a chance to freshen up. A packed lunch will be provided.
After lunch, board your 4x4 vehicle and embark on a scenic drive up to the magnificent Sanetti Plateau. This incredible geological feature is the largest afro-alpine plateau in Africa and home to a unique ecosystem. You'll ascend towards Tullu Dimtu (4377m), Ethiopia's second-highest peak, offering breathtaking, expansive views. The plateau is a crucial habitat for the Ethiopian Wolf and boasts fascinating endemic flora, including giant heathers and lobelia. After exploring the plateau and soaking in the incredible vistas, you will begin your drive back down towards the lowlands, heading for Bale Robe. In the evening you arrive in Bale Robe, check into your comfortable hotel, and enjoy a well-deserved hot shower and a celebratory dinner, marking the end of your trekking adventure.
